Q. What are the benefits of hiring Estimating Solutions?
Q. How does Estimating Solutions price electrical estimates? After reviewing the documents (prints, addenda, specifications, etc.) associated with the project we will email you a quote for the cost to perform the electrical estimate. Contact us for a free quote. Q. What is your turnaround time for an estimate? It's dependent on the size and scope of the job. On most projects we try to have the estimate done 1-2 days before the bid date so you have time to review the bid to make adjustments or ask any questions you may have. Q. How do you handle quoted items such as switchgear & lighting? We put together counts, schedules, one-lines, any specifications and/or drawings required for the project. We then send this to you via email so that you can send it off to your vendors for pricing. We feel it's best for you to build working relationships with local vendors to ensure the best pricing not only for quoted items but commodity items as well. Q. How do you handle material pricing? Material pricing is handled via a third-party service such as TRA-SER (Trade Service) and/or NetPricer. We perform pricing updates frequently for miscellaneous/commodity items. |
Q. Do you bid the job for me or do I have to bid it myself?
You will be provided with all the information needed to bid the job. We'll provide you with cost codes that show material and labor, add in your quoted items, overhead, profit, labor rates and direct job costs. If you're unsure about things such as overhead, profit, labor rates, and direct/indirect job costs we can help you figure those out. Q. Do you estimate the same job for multiple contractors? Never. Not under any circumstances. Q. Who do you provide electrical estimating services for? We provide our services to a variety of companies, some require budgets during the design phase and others require detailed take-offs to submit for bid.
Q. Are there contracts or long-term agreements? Normally we will give you a quote for the project and that's what you pay. However, long term arrangements can be made. Q. Can I pay with credit or debit card? Yes. We use a safe & secure third-party (Square) to process all payments via credit or debit card. You will receive an invoice via email that you can pay online. |
